Gerard Shutt is Director and Forest School Leader of The Wildair Forest School Education based here at Leisure Lakes, Southport, Merseyside.
Two of Ged’s great passions in life have been education and the great outdoors. In 2015, after 16 years of teaching experience as a Head of Dept. and as an Advanced Skills teacher, he decided to combine them both and founded The Wildair Forest School ducation right here in Southport..
Wildair strives to promote perseverance, independence and determination in people and groups of all ages, through Forest School, bush craft, survival and a range of outdoor activities.
As technology moves forward and plays a more and more prominent role in every day life, I believe it is equally important that people of all ages have the access to, and an understanding of the natural world around them.
